The applications are divided in two categories: Temperature control: Here the thermostat is used to control temperature of end product between two levels. Thermal overload protection: Here the thermostat is used to protect end product from overheating caused by overloading, blocked ventilation, increased ambient temperature, etc. Applications as Temperature Control Small Appliances In this application, the thermal cutouts are used to maintain the temperature of small or personal care appliance such as Sandwich Toaster, Water Heaters, Vacuum Cleaners, Coffee Makers, Microwave Ovens, Washing Machine, Rice Cookers, Food Warmers, Room Heaters, Wax Heaters etc. Controls listed under this section have maximum contact ratings of up to 15 Amps/120 Volts DC and 24 Amps/250 Volts AC. All current loads are resistive. Suggested Models are: N-8, N-9, N-2 Heating Pads and Blankets In this application, the thermal cutouts are used to maintain the temperature of the product at comfortable level. The safety of user is also very important. Our thermal cutouts are used to limit or regulate the temperature of these products. Suggested Models are: N-2, N-9 Industrial Heating Applications This group includes applications such as Cartridge heaters, Tubular heaters, Disc-type heaters, Foil and Silicone heaters, Temperature controlling devices. Suggested Models are: N-8, N-9 Temperature Sensor Applications This category covers a wide variety of applications. Our cutouts are used to monitor, regulate or limit the temperature of devices such as temperature baths, Ovens, Boilers etc. The thermal cutouts usually do not carry the full current load in these applications. Suggested Models are: N-9, N-2 Battery Pack Applications This application group refers to rechargeable battery packs for all portable power applications. The thermal cutouts for this group either control the charge rate of the battery packs or limit the current under short circuit conditions. Suggested Models are: N-9, N-2 Electronics Applications This category consists of variety of applications. Thermal cutouts used in these applications protect circuit board in overheat condition. The thermal cutout can be mounted on heat-sink. Suggested Models are: N-8, N-8M, N-9 Lighting Applications This category covers use of our thermal cutouts in all type of lighting applications. This includes ballasts, chokes and transformers used in all types of lighting. Suggested Models are: N-8, N-8M, N-9, N-2 DC Automotive Application This range of protectors is used for protection of DC motor of 12V-96V, where the protector provides protection against locked rotor and running overload condition. Wherein the protector trips the motor in 3-10 sec of fault condition. This range includes high current DC motor application like wiper motor, starter motor etc. Suggested Models are: SN-25, N-2 |
